CSIRO’s ON Accelerate Program – Simplifying Research Through Animation
In collaboration with TMRRW Studio, Infografia developed a series of six research explainer animations for CSIRO’s ON Accelerate program. Designed to bring cutting-edge research subjects to life, these videos played a pivotal role in helping CSIRO teams secure investment as part of their commercialization strategy.
Each animation was carefully crafted to align with the unique story of the featured research team. The designs blended clarity with creativity, ensuring the complex subjects were easily understood and visually engaging. One standout video, Dragonfly Thinking, demonstrated this approach by using a sophisticated combination of text, icons, and imagery to communicate the essence of the innovation effectively.
The Dragonfly Thinking animation addressed global challenges such as geopolitical uncertainty, climate crises, and the rapid rise of AI. It introduced an upgraded “human operating system” comprising structured analytic techniques and AI-powered tools. This approach enables decision-makers to view problems holistically, integrate diverse perspectives, and make informed, foresighted decisions to build systemic resilience.
By translating these intricate ideas into a visually compelling story, the Dragonfly Thinking video captured the attention of policymakers, business leaders, and investors. The series exemplifies how thoughtful animation and design can bridge the gap between complex research and actionable understanding, reinforcing CSIRO’s role as a leader in innovation and problem-solving.
